Every year or so I end up searching and buying or getting access to some custom CV template, modifying it with some design program, only to lose all that work later when I don’t have access. I am applying to a few positions so I am researching some tools that might work better for me longer term.

Markdown-cv Open source project. It can maybe be customized but doesn’t look very polished like a modern Finland IT / Tech resume. Also not clear if there is a photo profile which is needed for Finland postions.

Resumey.Pro This looks nice, but I don’t see the profile options shown so that is a risk. Also the pricing, 15e/mo seems expensive to me if you use it long term. But that is maybe just being subscription price adverse.

Flow-cv This looks like a good fit because right away I can see that they look very close to Finnish IT / Tech resumes that I use and have seens. Also with photo profiles. Seems to be free, but there is probably a catch.

https://app.flowcv.com/pricing I am now seeing that the pricing is similar unless yearly, and that is with a deep discount. Maybe not a long term solution but maybe good enough for today.

Here is a react based one, maybe an odd format but has the profile image

something with very simple output but photo profile

https://github.com/casualwriter/casual-markdown-cv?tab=readme-ov-file

this is not well designed but getting close

https://pkg.mitchelloharawild.com/vitae/reference/twentyseconds.html

this is compelling, can import own cv. several themes have profile photos. good quality.

https://enhancv.com/

enhance cv might be the most complelling to start with as it might make the process faster.
