Once upon a time, I used to have this really great boss.
And every day, I would be happily working on my computer, banging out code, and listening to some awesome music. It was a music magazine, by the way.
But one day, this really mean boss, who, ironically, was my great boss’s boss, came storming into my cubicle area like a wild tornado, papers flying everywhere.
And because of that, they stamped their feet up and down, demanding I stop immediately what I was doing and make direct changes for them in the code.
And because of that, they would shout at me, “Make it bolder. No, no, no, that’s too bold. Now, make this other thing bolder. Everything needs to be bolder!”
Until finally, one day, I realized there’s a much better way to collaborate.
And ever since then, I’ve thought about talking about this better way of collaborating. And we’re gonna do this today in the pair programming UN-lightning session.
